Hacienda Buena Vista is a 19th century former coffee and corn (among other crops) plantation near Ponce, which is now preserved as a historical attraction by the Conservation Trust of Puerto Rico.

The Reserva Forestal Toro Negro is a rainforest nature preserve/recreation area in the central mountains.
