From San Ignacio, we took the bus to Flores, Guatemala (only 2 1/2 hours, excluding the wait at the border caused by traffic backed up on the single-lane bridge across the Rio Mopan, which divides the two countries). The next day, we started our jungle trek in Cruce dos Aguadas, about a hour northwest of Flores. A local villager hosted us for breakfast, and Vanessa got to talk to the kids.
